Meet Chase,
a Product Designer who transforms complexity into clarity.
Hi, I’m Chase Alan Willis. I’m a Bay Area product designer who blends systems thinking with a little creative magic to make complex ideas easier to understand. I have worked on products that served millions, built responsive design systems, and shaped digital experiences for both enterprise teams and everyday users. My approach is part systems thinker, part human advocate, and part design magician. My goal is to turn complexity into clarity that everybody can understand. I'm originally from a small Southern California town, where I got my start, but for the past decade I've been designing for tech in Silicon Valley, near the icy waters of the Red Triangle in the birthplace of biotechnology, where my two cats basically run the place. 🐈⬛ 🐈⬛ When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me captaining a pirate ship with my friends in the game Sea of Thieves or writing genre-fluid music on my bass guitar. Both push me to listen carefully, adapt on the fly, and stay creative under pressure, which is exactly how I've approached every design challenge I've ever faced.

Meat & potatoes
Where the essentials become exceptional.
Great UX isn’t just functional, it’s seamless. When a product feels natural to use and requires no thought, that’s design working perfectly.

Design with intent
Every pixel has a purpose.
I evaluate design decisions based on real outcomes. Every feature exists to solve a problem, support a goal, or create meaningful impact
I’m a systems thinker, human advocate, and design magician.
These three traits guide how I approach problems and create solutions that bring products to life.

Systems thinker
I explore how people, problems, and products connect. This perspective lets me create systems that are scalable, consistent, and easy to navigate.

Human advocate
I pay close attention to peoples needs so I can eliminate obstacles for them. My aim is to build products that feel intuitive, inclusive, and genuinely helpful.

Design magician
I leverage motion, visual design, and micro-interactions to turn functional features into memorable experiences people enjoy -- almost like magic.

My design toolkit
From prototypes to production, these are the tools I use to turn ideas into launches. I’m fluent in a wide range of tools and adapt to whatever helps teams move faster.
